Does this sound like you: you have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but have always had excuses for not taking lessons, such as “I don’t have time”, of “Lessons are way too expensive”, or “There’s no way I could learn to play well enough to really be able to enjoy it”?

Well, stop making excuses, because the guitar lessons you need are available at Guitar Tricks, and you don’t have to worry about time or traveling to lessons, because you can take them in the comfort of your own home, at any time of the day. The cost is extremely reasonable, squashing your next excuse, and the lessons are so easy-to-use that you will find yourself playing great in no time at all.

Video Lessons Make Learning To Play The Guitar Easy!

All of the guitar lessons at Guitar Tricks are recorded by the actual instructors (there are more than 30 instructors teaching lessons in a wide array of guitar styles), so you can see exactly what they are doing, which is a lot easier than trying to pick up tips and techniques from books, which rarely is successful for anyone who has never played before.

Guitar Fundamentals 1

If you have never played the guitar before, the Guitar Tricks’ Guitar Fundamentals 1 course is the best one for you to start out with.
Chapter 2: Basic Knowledge – In this chapter, you will learn the parts of acoustic and electric guitars and their functions, how to tune a guitar with an electric tuner, tuning with the Guitar Tricks reference tuner, and how to read tablature.

Chapter 3: Introduction to Chords – Here you will learn the mechanics of fretting notes, and two groups of simple chords: Intro to C Major and G Major; and Intro to A Minor and E Major.

Chapter 4: Playing Melodies – This chapter will teach you how notes are named, and the note names for each of the strings. You will also find tips of learning and practicing music, and now to play some simple melodies, as well as learn about natural and accidental notes.

Chapter 5: Playing Full Chords – Here you will learn how to play full chords with Group 1, A, D, and E, and how to switch between these chords; Group 2, C, F, and G, and how to switch between these chords; and Group 3, Introducing the B Major chord, and how to switch between all of these chord groups.
